The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire!

Had some fun last night. Had one really fun convo. I would like to pass the question along to you. If your house was burning down, what is the one (non-living) item that you would save. (You can only save one).

For me it is without a doubt, my black and grey acoustic guitar. I got it when I was 15. I could never truly replace 15 years on that fretboard.

What about you? What is your item?

Omg how did I know you would say that Linz...thats actually a PERFECT answer.

Tom, Im glad you clarified that it was non-living since Nikki is actually very senstive to this question and now I am able to answer it without fear of death. If you say anything other than her she turns on you for life, so whew. haha. Im TOTALLY serious.

I would save my collection of sex toys. Some people collect stamps. I dont. jk

Actually, do you want to know whats sad? I dont have an answer. My purse I guess or my passort or my birth certificate, not that all of that isnt replaceable. I mean theres just nothing that I have that I need. That is the saddest thing ever. Its just stuff and I dont have any good memories but my childhood box and my memories are all in my head anyway. Ive always felt that way about pictures, scrap books, etc. I am my own album. I would just save myself.

The last time I read this "TAG" I got to choose five things. This time I only get ONE?? Well doesn't that suck! This must be one fast-burning fire! It's a toss-up. My gut reaction was my dad's ashes. But then again, they are ashes...and it's only a small portion of them. Should I really rescue ashes from a fire? It almost sounds like an oxymoron. My second gut instinct was the video tape of the talent contest my daughter won when she was 8. She sang the song from The Little Mermaid and won $150. When the MC asked her what she was going to do with the money, she said, "Well...I was thinking about buying a farm." Adorable!! It embarrasses the hell out of her now, but what a priceless thing to say!! (I'm such a Mom!!)

See??? Read wordwhiz's comment. I have nothing meaningful to save. I feel like I'm wasting my life! My answer was so selfish. :(

It would be a toss up between my jewlery box (with my wedding rings and Grandma's Jewlery) or a book I got Brian when we got back together (Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz)- it's a collector's edition-signed by the author and it has A LOT of sentimental value to us.

Good question!!
